Abstracts by Micol

The painting Cocktail Party, acclaimed by the large crowd who visited Micol's booth at the 2007 Addison ITALIA Festival last summer, was one of several paintings sold to Tuscany Management, LLC, and is displayed in the sky bar of the Tuscany - Art in Dining restaurant. This innovative concept, combining the beauty and charm of the Old World with the great cuisines of Italy and the New World, opened in Grapevine, TX, in 2008. Micol, with her innovative art expressing innate emotions with such unique and modern traits and Tuscany Management, with their ambitious and breakthrough visions, developed a solid partnership to bring exceptional food and art to sophisticated consumers in the Dallas Metroplex. The restaurant is currently featuring 12 of Micol's paintings.

Text Box: Press Release – August 2006
The paintings of Micol Biasetti use instinct and imagination to guide the viewer’s senses through the barrage of color and movement contained in each canvas. Sensual, tactile and intense, Micol uses paint to tell a vivid story of emotion by covering, revealing and layering her colors. Reminiscent of Jackson Pollock, Micol's approach to artmaking is spontaneous, thus emphasizing the ebullient quality of her final creation. Micol builds a foundation in her painting through layering colors, and in some cases, uses a spare amount of white paint that is simply poured on top, uniting the disparate elements of her work in an almost sculptural manner. Micol's work thrives on the canvas, becoming a vivid story open to the viewer’s interpretation. Micol Biasetti was born in Lima, Peru, is an Italian citizen, and currently lives and works in Dallas, TX.
